Shalane is a Certified Public Accountant, a registered Auditor and a member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) as well as the Malta Institute of Accountants. In addition, she also holds an honours degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Malta.

Prior to joining CSA Group, Shalane had held senior posts with one of the big four firms in Malta where she even had the opportunity to be seconded in one of the firm’s international offices.  She brought with her 10 years of experience within accounting and audit.  Her experience includes auditing manufacturing, retail, government entities, schools, maritime, church institutions, aviation amongst others.
